BRIDGES

Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Missing teeth need to be replaced to restore the appearance of your smile and function of your mouth (chewing, speaking, etc.) and to prevent other teeth from moving into the space where your tooth was. A bridge usually requires putting crowns on the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth space.  Occasionally for front teeth a bridge can be made by bonding material on to the backside of adjacent teeth instead of crowning them.
